Sustainability

In 1987, Gro Harlem Brundtland released a report titled "Our Common Future", in which she gave the official definition to one of the most tossed-around terms in today's society.

"Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs."

Here at Pulse, we strongly believe in this notion, and hence have a few principles that help us deliver sustainability as well as world class service.

Prioritising Sustainable Transport

Amsterdam is largely paved, which we have taken advantage of during planning. However, there is more to access Amsterdam than just walking- they have a wide and varied public transport network, and our suggested modes can be found on the sub-page.

Respecting locals

Local markets and food are recommended, to support the locals as best as we can. We take you to areas not infested with tourists, so that the experience for the locals and you would be better, tourism with peace.

3

Selective Hotels

We only offer the most sustainable hotels and accommodations, B-Corp Certified and Green Key Gold. Where you stay is one of the heaviest impacts on the environment, and therefore we have narrowed our suggestions of hotels to seven.

Planned Itineraries

Each day of our itinerary consists of one area of Amsterdam. This is done so that minimal movement would need to be done around the region- everything is within walking distance.
